FYP
Services Marketplace Mobile App (FYP)
A Computer Science final year project: a native Android marketplace where customers find, chat with and hire local service providers.
Overview
A degree-level FYP: an Android app with a Node.js backend connecting customers with nearby service providers, plus an admin side for the platform owner.
Client challenge
The scope grew between evaluations, with new modules requested on fixed academic deadlines, and the system had to demo reliably in front of examiners.
Solution
We built the system in milestones matched to the student's evaluation dates, using a clean MVVM architecture in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, an Express backend and real-time features over Socket.io.
Features
What the product includes
