GIS Complaint Tracking App (Malaysia)

An offline Android and PC mapping app for a Malaysian utility team to log and track site complaints on their own map.

Complaint (aduan) record opened on the satellite map with land lot details

Overview

A Malaysian client needed a working app modelled on an enterprise GIS editor, so field members could record complaints (aduan) against a map of their area without a live GIS server.

Client challenge

The client had no Android phone and worked on a locked-down corporate office PC, where installers and local scripts were blocked by group policy.

Solution

We built the app once in TypeScript and Leaflet, wrapped it for Android with Capacitor, and also produced a single self-contained HTML file that opens in Chrome or Edge with no installation. Everything is stored offline on the device.
